LEMPICKA, si Lolita
LEMPICKA, si Lolita

Août 2009

Following Lolita Lempicka and L, the brand has created a new women’s perfume: Si Lolita. Packaged in a clover-shaped bottle with “four hearts” designed by Michel Charrier and made by Bormioli (with a clasp by Rexam), this floral eau de parfum features spicy notes that are normally used in masculine fragrances. “We wanted a floral with character,” explains Catherine Dauphin, director of Lolita Lempicka Perfumes at Pacific Creation. “In the same way that the designer adds touches of lace to men’s suits in her collections, this association of feminine and masculine olfactory harmonies seemed to us a logical approach.” Spicy notes are present from the start with pink pepper that sharpens the freshness of bergamot and mandarin. At the heart, wallflower adds zest to heliotrope and sweet pea that have been worked in an original way by Christine Nagel and Benoist Lapouza (Fragrances Resources). “We reproduced the scent of sweet pea from what we smelled from the flower itself,” comments Christine Nagel. “We could have used the Headspace, a device that captures smells, but we found the result to be too synthetic.” Among the base notes, elemi gum adds a peppery facet to amber, patchouli and tonka bean.
[…] Signed by Christian Moser, the visual shows a young woman in an artist’s studio looking out on the roofs of Montmartre. This very feminine, very gay image anchors the brand in the world of Parisian fashion houses. This is a “Made in Paris” that will be exported to Europe and Korea at the end of 2009, then to the United States in 2010.
